Professional Music Experience

Maxwell gained invaluable experience working as Brian Eno’s assistant on live shows and installations, contributing to the legendary ambient music pioneer’s performances and sound installations. This collaboration provided deep insights into generative music systems, ambient composition, and the integration of sound with visual art.

Musical Approach

Drawing from his background in contemporary art and his experience with Brian Eno’s innovative approaches, Maxwell creates music that bridges experimental sound art and ambient composition. His musical work shares the same philosophical foundations as his visual art – exploring collective memory and drawing from cultural, literary, and philosophical sources.

In 2016 Maxwell formed a music collective with guitarist Leigh Trowbridge called Languor. www.languormusic.com

Musicians including cellists, violinists, bassists and vocalists joined the collective in the pursuit of quality, emotive music.  Debut album ‘Fall’ was released in 2021.
